I escape to the forest. It feels so free. I can feel everything inside of me. Sun on my skin. Fresh air in the breeze. Something I wish I could experience everyday, but we're left here on our knees. It's chaotic and so beautiful. It's scary and so clear. It's illusion and it's real. I watch it crush my fear. Our ancestors, once forgotten, all the wisdom we've lost. This is where it returns so quickly. Like the melting of the frost. I look to the rain to keep my mind intact. Looking through the dark. I begin to feel. It all comes back. My heart is in the prairie. I lost it when I was a child. This is where we all connect. Leaving me. It's wild. Wide open sky. Trees that had a name. Today I walk amidst the concrete. Who the hell do I blame? Reconnect to nature!
